NMR currently seeks to hire individuals possessing knowledge, skills, and abilities typically gained through bachelor’s or master’s level education, for Engineer I or Engineer II positions respectively, or prior work in engineering. This position will require individuals to occasionally perform inspections of residential and commercial and industrial buildings in order to assess the efficiency of various building components. These inspections may require employees to travel up to 50% of the time. NMR is currently seeking candidates for an Intern position during the Summer of 2021. We are a small but expanding consulting firm specializing in the evaluation of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.

Applicants should possess strong writing skills, organizational ability, and computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel. We are looking for applicants who think critically and creatively, take initiative, and are not afraid to ask questions. The ideal candidate will contribute to our culture of teamwork and employee ownership by sharing knowledge freely and offering their unique perspective. An interest in energy efficiency and/or program evaluation is highly valued.

Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supporting energy market research and evaluation tasks
  • Providing data collection and scheduling support as a secondary technician on local residential and commercial site visits

This paid internship ($20/hour) offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in energy efficiency program evaluation. The intern will be expected to commit to 40 hours per week.
