Matthew WoundyResearch Associate II
Matthew Woundy is a RESNET-certified HERS rater and joined NMR in October of 2015. As a HERS rater, he has experience performing energy audits of new and existing single- and multifamily homes across New England, as well as building envelope modeling with REM/Rate. He has extensive experience working on all stages of residential baseline studies, from developing and recruiting study samples through to data collection, analysis, and reporting. He has conducted in-depth interviews with a variety of market actors, such as builders, HERS raters, and HVAC contractors. Overall, his responsibilities at NMR involve working with a variety of quantitative and qualitative data, including data collection, analysis, and writing and editing reports.
Matt received a B.A. in Political Science from UMass Amherst and an M.S. in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management from the New School. Previously, he researched urban sustainable development, working with an advisory group convened by The United Nations and the Urban Climate Change Research Network to develop policy solutions for global cities.
