Talking Energy Efficiency at ACEEE’s 23rd Summy Study

This August, a team of NMR employee-owners trekked out to Pacific Grove, CA, to attend ACEEE’s 23rd biennial Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings. This year’s theme was “Equity and Climate Action: Time to Deliver,” following up on the two years since Congress passed the Inflation Reduction Act and its unprecedented investment in reducing carbon emissions and prioritizing underserved communities in the face of our growing climate crisis.

Our team is still buzzing about the exciting findings delivered by like-minded industry experts. Topics across the weeklong event included energy justice, tackling extreme temperatures, and the transformation of energy efficiency and decarbonization to reduce emissions, with panels from the perspective of residential and commercial buildings, equity, utilities, communities, new construction, and much more.

We encourage you to check our papers below by Sam Manning, Monica Nevius, Greg Clendenning, and Jerrad Pierce, and many generous and knowledgeable co-authors:
