2025, Part 1: New Faces & New Places

The first half of our 2025 has flown by, with new teammates and a whirlwind of conference appearances that have our social batteries working overtime.

This year, we’ve welcomed Engineering Analyst I Leif Riley, Project Manager Trevor Marion, and Research Associate II Ian Smith. All three come to us with an impressive range of experience and we are excited to have them!

March was a busy month for conferences:

  • Hannah Waskelis and Sam Manning attended ACEEE’s Hot Water and Hot Air conference in Portland, OR.
  • Nick Arnemann and Eugene McGowan traveled to Nashua, NH, to present at the ESOP Association’s New England conference.
  • Sandy Mejia popped down to Boston to attend NESEA BuildingEnergy.

Also this spring, Abigail O’Meara jetted out to Salt Lake City, UT, for NCEO’s annual conference in April, and Kailey Pratt brought her clubs down to Connecticut to golf with fellow attendees at AESP’s Northeast Spring conference in June.

And we’re not done yet! As June rushes past, NMR will gather in person under one roof here in Somerville to convene our annual meeting. Heading into fall, our team is presenting eight papers and posters at October’s likewise hotly anticipated IEPEC in Denver, CO. Learn more about the presentation topics in this month’s newsletter.
