Susan joined NMR in 2001 and has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. She has worked extensively on projects relating to energy efficiency and renewable energy, with particular expertise in energy-efficient lighting programs and technologies. She has conducted a range of market research and market evaluation projects in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. For several years, Susan led the evaluation efforts for the U.S. EPA’s national ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World campaign. She also managed the Massachusetts ENERGY STAR Lighting Program evaluation for the past several years. Currently, she is part of a team evaluating CFL market effects for a study commissioned by the California Public Utilities Commission. She is interested in how new lighting technologies will fit in efficiency portfolios and contributes to a team that is measuring net CFL sales and CFL saturation through a multi-state modeling effort. She holds a Masters degree from Boston University's Center for Energy and Environmental Studies.
When she is not counting light bulbs, Susan works on a crew at an organic farm pulling weeds and harvesting greens.
