Shirley Pon, PhD

Quantitative Analyst

Shirley Pon joined NMR in March of 2016. She has experience in energy policy and has extensively studied energy and environmental economics. Prior to joining NMR, Shirley interned with the Department of Energy, helping the analysis team with program analysis on renewable energy in the transportation sector. Her expertise is in multivariate panel and non-linear regression analysis. Shirley received her PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park; her dissertation pertains to household behavioral response to interventions in the form of time of use pricing and information provision. Shirley conducts billing analysis using econometric methods to estimate the impact of the pricing and information threats on demand and habits. In her free time, Shirley can be found in the climbing gym or outdoors looking for real rocks to climb with her little dog, Momo.
