Residential Behavior

Client: Connecticut Energy Efficiency Board in cooperation with Connecticut Light and Power

Project: Connecticut Light and Power Home Energy Reports Evaluation

NMR led a process and impact evaluation of the first year of CL&P’s Home Energy Reports Behavioral Pilot Program. The study examined such issues as program satisfaction and engagement, variations in energy savings by pre-program use, and persistence of savings after report cessation. The methodologies employed included study groups, telephone surveys, and billing analysis of both participants and non-participants. NMR continues to evaluate Year 2 of this pilot program, including examining long-term persistence of savings.

Read the report from year one of the CL&P Pilot Customer Behavior Program.  Others will be forthcoming.
